The short version. Fondo is a local-first budgeting app. Your budget, income, bills, subscriptions, savings, debts, and spending are stored only on your device. We do not run servers that collect your financial data, we do not have accounts, we do not use analytics or advertising, and we do not sell or share your data.

What data the app handles, and where it lives

Your budgeting data (income, necessities, bills, subscriptions, savings, goals, debts, spending entries, settings) is saved in on-device storage only. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party.
Backups are created only when you choose to export one. The file is handed to your device's share sheet so you decide where it goes. Fondo does not upload backups anywhere. You may optionally protect a backup with a passphrase; encryption happens on your device and we never receive the passphrase or the file.
Notifications (bill reminders) are local notifications scheduled on your device. Their content never leaves the device.
Biometric unlock (Face ID / Touch ID) is handled entirely by your operating system. Fondo only receives a yes/no "unlocked" result — it never sees your biometric data.

Purchases

Fondo offers a "Pro" subscription (monthly or annual, with a free trial; no ads). Purchases and renewals are processed by Apple's App Store and validated through RevenueCat, our in-app-purchase provider. To confirm your subscription, these services process a purchase receipt and an anonymous, store-provided identifier — they do not receive your budgeting data. Their handling is governed by their own policies: Apple, RevenueCat.

Feedback

If you choose to send feedback from Settings, the message you type is sent over the internet to us through Web3Forms, a form-delivery service, which emails it to us. Only the text you write and the type you select (bug or feature request) are sent. No name, email address, device identifier or budgeting data is attached. Sending feedback is always optional. Data we collect

None that leaves your device. Fondo has no accounts, no server-side database of your data, no third-party analytics, and no advertising. The only data any third party sees is the purchase information Apple/RevenueCat need to process, renew and restore your subscription (above).

Children

Fondo is a general-audience budgeting tool and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
